Speakers not working on Teac A-1500 reel to reel

I have a Teac A-1500 that the speakers are not working.  I can hear the tape when connected to a computer and using audacity but not when just playing a tape.  I’m a novice at using  reel to reel recorders/players so any any suggestions would be appreciated.
